After going to food festivals for several years we've discovered that we like to celebrate the featured products with the communities who host these events. These festivals help build healthier communities, support small businesses and promote local agricultural and culinary knowledge. They also increase access to tastier, fresher foods for those who visit them.
In the world of monster malls, megaplexes and warehouse shopping – there is something very refreshing and even reassuring, about taking in a local food festival that celebrates a regional specialty and the folks whose lives are intertwined with the specialty.
BBQ cook-offs, tomato festivals, crock pot cooking competitions – our goal is to increase the awareness of these events. WCF will report on these and all other variety of events focused on food which unites us all, and are just plain fun to attend. With that in mind, Wild Country Foods strives to provide a forum where folks can find out where events are scheduled throughout the country learn a bit more about them before heading out.
